UPDATES FOR SPRING SEASON

Date Posted: 4/23/2015

Hello SISA Families-

We would like to update you on the plans for the remainder of the SISA Spring season.  This has been an incredibly wet Spring season which has affected all area clubs, and we have been working hard to adjust and find feasible solutions.  Unfortunately we have had only 4 days without rain for the month of April, so we no longer have time for all teams to even play 6 games prior to the conclusion of the season and the SISA tournament.

After careful thought and deliberation, we have decided to cancel the 2015 Spring Fling tournament.  Instead, we will update the schedules so each team gets their 8 games as originally planned.  This means games will be scheduled for next week and into the weekend originally planned for the tournament (May 2-3).

We will also introduce a new event the week of May 4—The SISA Spring Fling Soccer Festival.  This will be a week of open play where teams can come to Stumpy and enjoy playing mini-games of 30 minutes. These will be age-specific, and will be a chance to play multiple smaller games each evening.

We understand there will be some disappointed with this decision.  This was an incredibly difficult decision, and with the SISA Board considering cancelling the tournament as the last option.  We diligently considered multiple solutions and in the end, this was the best solution for the majority.

Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.

Thank you for your understanding.
